I read about scientific evidence that curcumin can help deal with anxiety so I decided to try it. After 3 weeks I feel a little better already!

I chose curcuma pro because I heard it helps heart health and can also help stomach acid. Can’t stand the taste of turmeric. The pills seem to work ok.

What is a curcumin supplement?

Curcumin is the active ingredient found in turmeric. For the last 50 years, curcumin has been highlighted for its potential anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Other than these, biological effects curcumin also include wound healing, anti-angiogenic, and anti-cancer effects.

While it’s easy to get turmeric in our system, the real challenge is making curcumin more bioavailable. On its own, the absorption rate is only at around 5% at most. This is why we designed CurcumaPRO, a curcumin supplement that uses the micronized form of curcumin.

Not just curcumin, Phytocopeia CurcumaPRO also has a derivative of curcumin called Bisdemethoxycurcumin. As a derivative of curcumin, BDMC also possesses several biological activities, such as anti-inflammation and anti-cancer activities.

What are common sources of curcumin?

The only source of curcumin is turmeric and its derivatives. It is regularly added to foods like curry, while others prefer to add it to their smoothies or even coffeee.

What benefits can I expect from a curcumin supplement?

Much of curcumin’s benefits can be attributed to its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

  • Inflammation: Study after study after study just further proves how effective it is at treating inflammation. It’s a big deal considering scientists now link inflammation to almost every chronic, Western diseases. These include heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease and various degenerative conditions. Inflammation also affects the eyes, causes degenerative eye disease, and promotes age-related macular degeneration or when our eyes tend to have difficulty reading as you age.
  • Antioxidant: Free radicals are bad because they’re the primary cause of aging and other degenerative diseases. Antioxidants such as curcumin help protect our body from free radical damage by neutralizing them. Not only that, curcumin can also boost the body’s innate antioxidant enzymes.
  • Depression: One controlled study suggests curcumin improves symptoms of depression and is considered an effective antidepressant. There is also evidence that curcumin can actually affect serotonin and dopamine, neurotransmitters responsible for making us feel happy.

While the science is still far from conclusive, recent advances all point towards the positive for curcumin supplements and their health benefits.

Do I have to exercise to maximize the benefits of curcumin supplements?

While Phytocopeia CurcumaPRO can work without exercise, exercise is always good, especially if paired with a curcumin supplement. Not only will you maximize the curcumin supplement effects, you will also help your body burn more fat, build more muscle, and stay healthy for the long term.

What are the CurcumaPRO side effects?

We’ve done the research and so far, there have been no reported side effects from taking a curcumin supplement. It is a natural ingredient sourced from plants, so it does not carry with it side effects associated with conventional drugs.

However, we do maintain a stance in asking for expert advice before taking curcumin. Just to be safe, ask your health practitioner if your body won’t have any adverse reactions to curcumin supplements.

Phytocopeia CurcumaPro is also dye-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
